Just another update. You can now register for our Conference (Sept 19th and 20th, 2014) by downloading and completing the Registration Form which can also be found on our Conference page. On our "Taste of Italy" page, you can learn all about the Optional Social Evening on Friday, Sept 19th.
As a way to start the conference off and to welcome guests to Wnnipeg, there will be a "Wine & Cheese Meet & Greet" on Thursday evening, Sept 18th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please be sure to indicate on the Registration form if you plan to attend the "Meet & Greet" so we know how many to expect.
On our Home page we have just recently added another easier way to support the Scleroderma Association of Manitoba. In addition to the manual way of making a donation, you can now do so online by clicking the "Donate Button".
Have a great day!
Welcome to our Blog. To start it off, just a few comments about the 2013 Scleroderma Conference in Hamilton. It was a great trip. Marion Pacy and I travelled to Hamilton together and planned it out so that she would attend some of the breakout sessions while I attended other ones. That way, we figured we would have most of them covered.
As this was my 2nd conference, It was so nice to meet up with some of the people that I had met last year in Vancouver - such an inspiring bunch of people! The breakout sessions and guest speakers were most interesting and informative. Some really resonated personally with me.
Now that we are back home, the Wpg team is hard at work planning for the 15th Annual Scleroderma Conference next Sept which will be held here in Wpg at the Canad Inn Polo Park. The dates are Sept 19th and 20th for the conference itself, but we are also planning a few additional events so please stay tuned. The theme of our conference is "An Integrated Approach - Creating a United Front". We are lining up some very interesting speakers. Although every conference is interesting and informative, our objective is to keep it fresh - so please visit us often or follow us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/sclerodermamanitoba.
Just a side note, on CBC TV this evening on The Nature of Things, there will be a documentary about lyme disease. It may pose some interesting questions as to the potential effect of lyme disease and co-infections on chronic illnesses.
All for now. Happy Thanksgiving to All!
